This excellent little book (59pp) was published by the Falkirk District Libraries in 1994. When I bought it, it was only about £4 and I'm reproducing a few pages here to give you a taste. I have selected the chapter on Recruiting to give you a better idea of the regiment that your ancestor may have joined.
