Family Group (2nd Cousins) |
1881 at Halls, Spott, Haddington. It is unusual that there are no children found named after the father's parents. But Walter's death on 1911 was registered by a son, John (this boy John was 3 months old in 1861) who said his father's mother was Janet Wood. . Is this a mistake or was there a second marriage. Walter's marriage cert in 1861 definitely names his parents as John Cowan and Janet Torrie.
