  1. Death Certificate of John Johnston - 1859 / Slamannan / Entry 41. John died at Rosebank Slamannan and his marital status was "married". Witness looks like Gavin but could be William.
  2. Helen Dun Walker was also born at Rosebank in 1857, daughter of William Walker and Jane Johnstone - see descendants chart. It looks like John was living with his granddaughter immediately prior to his death.

Outstanding Actions:

  1. Find death certificate of Jean Jack. Should be post 1859 if the status on her husbands death cert is correct.
  2. Look for Jean Johnston (m.s Jack) age about 85 in the 1861 census for Slamannan. Possibly living with William and Helen Walker.
