Info from Jen Long - Hi Tom. Your James Rae who married Jane Sharp is my gr X4 grandfather's brother. His name was Livingston Rae b. 8 January 1780 in Polmont. His parents were James Rae b. 13 April 1746 and Jean Baird.
Info from Isabelle Alaban - see below - given the children's names it looks more likely that the parents of James are Thomas Rae and Helen Evan.
Tom's Note: I believe James Rae and Jean Baird are his grandparents not parents
