  • Carried emigrants to NZ. 15/09/1878 went ashore near San Francisco and abandoned after two days. 18/09/1878 having struck a rock, her keel and side were wrenched out. Subsequently floated off, repaired and re-named MARIPOSA to Goodall, Perkins & Co, for $2450. After one passage to Liverpool from San Francisco, she was bought by the original owners and reverted to JESSIE OSBORNE. 1876 chartered by the NZ Shipping Co and after completing two voyages to New Zealand, was sold to a Norwegian firm, converted into a barque, and re-named OKTA. 1890 J. Hossack Snr. 1907 B. J. Grefstad, PoR Arendal, Norway. 18/09/1913 wrecked while trying to enter Bluff Harbour for shelter en route Port Huon, Tasmania to Falmouth. 1913 loaded with jarrah timber at Tasmania and sailed for Falmouth. She put into the Bluff harbour in distress, struck the Pelham rocks, Sterling Point, and became a total wreck.
