    STANDISH O'GRADY, for many years Lord Chief Baron of the Exchequer in Ireland, was created VISCOUNT GUILLAMORE., by patent, dated 28 Jan 1831. His lordship, b. in 1766, m. Katherine, 2nd dau. John-Thomas Waller, Esq. of Castletown, co. Limerick, and by her (who d. 1853) had, t law, Q.C., m. 26 June 1823, Grace- Elizabeth, eldest dau. of Hugh, 3rd Lord Massy, and d. 9 June, 1849, having by her ( who d. 27 Sept 1841) had issue,. Hugh-Massy, m. 6 Aug.1857, Zillah-Selina-Marina, eldest dau. of Wm.-Henry Hutchinson, Esq. of Rockbarton, co. Tipperary, and dying 1860, left by her (who m. 2ndly, 1862, William Bredin, Esq., and d. 2 Aug.1878) two sons,-Waller, late lieut. R.N. of Rathfredagh, Newcastle West , co. Limerick, J.P.; m. 21 Jan.1863 Ada Bruce, sister of Sir W.-C. Bruce, Bart., and has ,., 5th batt. Royal Munster fusiliers, b.17 March,1869· 1. Everina, d.1879 Bart., and d.16 Oct. 1873. Galway, High Sheriff 1835; died at Roxborough, aged 76, on Saturday, 7 September bur. at Killinane 10 September 1878. Memorial Tablet. Will proved in the Principal Registry, Dublin, 5 October 1878, by Frances Persse (ms. Barry 2nd wife), relict, the sole Executrix.Nov. 1884.ns Ball, who d. 1864. Note for House of Clare: Fort Fergus (or Mount Fergus) Ballinacally By 1837, the house was lived in by Daniel O'Grady Esq. This circa 600 acre estate (which included a number of islands) which was part of a larger three thousand and twenty-six acres is recorded as being owned by Major William Hawkins Ball in 1878. His wife Julia, whom he married in 1845 was the youngest daughter of Standish, 1st Viscount Guillamore (O'Grady). His heir presumptive was his nephew Richard Hawkins Beauchamp, J.P. The house was burned down in the 1920's; the estate was then divided and three hindred acres were purchased by Mr Michael Garry circa 1924. Clare Library site; Fort FergusThis was the home of the Ball family who evicted two hundred families from the townland of Inisdia during the nineteenth century. The evicted families moved inland and lived in overcrowded conditions in areas like Cappanagerra and Lavalla. Fort Fergus house was burned down during the Troubles
